Nice cafe but very pricey. £3.65 for a hot chocolate is too much. Coffee prices are similar. Food is good quality though.
We take my 88 year old mum for a treat now and again but for 3 coffees and 3 cakes it is around £25. It really is a special treat at these prices.

The cafe was magnificent. I have been there twice, and my experiences were great.
The potatoes were nice. The soups were also great. I couldn’t identify what soups of the day they were. But the two soups that I had tried were delicious.

The outdoor area has a good variety of plants and flowers. The fruit trees looked very nice and healthy.
There were a few of the plants that looked a little worse for wear but were still at full price.
The indoor section is always nice and tidy and changes depending upon the season. At the moment they have some outdoor furniture but during winter they have a lovely section of Christmas decorations.

Today was mainly a visit to the cafe for a catch-up with a friend. It did feel like we stumbled upon a day out for the nursing home residents as everyone seemed to be well over 60 years old.

The service at the till was quite slow, and it wasn't a very warm of friendly welcome. The main lady who seemed to be ticking it over made us feel like we were on a conveyer belt. The young girl who asked if we needed anything else greeted us with a nice smile.

My friend and I both had the apple juice that tasted fresh. I had a white chocolate topped flapjack that tasted nice, and my friend had a cherry scone with cream and jam. They were very big portions, but for £4 I should hope so.

We looked at the pie, sausage rolls, and quiche. They did look very nice, but at £11 per slice, we decided to wait for our tea.

I finally managed to find some beetroot chutney that I haven't found in all of the major supermarkets, so it was a good visit. This was £4.50 for the jar.

My friend picked up a can of Frenchic paint that is only supplied in a few retailers.

It was very warm inside as it had a roof like a greenhouse and there didn't seem any aircon on so this would be difficult for the staff to work in.

There are lots of parking outside, which is free, and there are some disabled bays near the entrance

Lovely garden centre with a great selection of gifts and plants.
The cafe/restaurant is very disappointing. The breakfast was poor quality with overcooked sausage and bacon but undercooked eggs. We had to send the breakfast back to then be served the exact same breakfast/plate again.
The coffee and other selection of food and drink were good but it seems to be the cooked products that weren’t up to standard. The cutlery and glassware was also filthy.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Fair to say I wouldn’t return.

First time I was in this place and I am very impressed. You can be inside and outside of the building. There is a big range of stuff whatever you actually need. It’s a paradise for a gardener. Plus there is a cafe and you can sit inside or outside and enjoy the weather. Toilet also available. Free parking place.

Rating for the Topiary Cafe - it's decent but omg the service is soooo slow. Queues for the food at all hours and orders taken by 3 staff...and whilst they are perfectly doing an ok job they could do with some young, dynamic manager to shake up service so that orders can be taken, coffees made and food presented in half the time at least. However, the effort is there and food was decent...although the hot quiche tasted like firm scrambled eggs rather than smooth quiche like texture. And prices are quite high for a village. Cafe has real potential and the setting and decor is relaxing and nice, and it's big too so feels inviting. Would I go again? The answer is yes but hopefully next time it'll be less busy.

Very Christmassy, watch the automated raindeer and have a bite and cuppa in the cafe - queues usually long, reserve a table and enjoy! Lots of parking spaces, Christmas decorations, house plants, bird and pet food, garden plants, cards, gifts, food, kitchen items, give yourself enough time to walk round!

Food poisoning and rude staff. My 3 year old was fine all day before coming to eat at the cafe, and started vomiting 2 hours after eating here. Staff were really rude when serving, cold drinks served in takeout coffee cups as “no clean glasses”. Will not be returning. Definitely need to look at their food hygiene practices re food poisoning
