Probably my favourite garden centre. It’s an amazing garden, which feels like a fairy tale to walk through. As you turn right at the end of the path you see a wonderfully peaceful cafe. Up the stairs you find a shaded area from which you oversee the luscious gardens over a pond lively with little fish. I recommend this place not just as a garden centre but as a beautiful botanical garden worthy of a visit to feel as if you enter an enchanted forest.

Nice little hidden gem in the countryside, not biggest Garden Nursery, with a none meat menu at there restaurant, it these little things that makes it worth a look and try. What a surprise, with a garden area open with a chapel only or certain days of the year. Worth a visit.

We are a family of three (including 10 month old baby) visiting the area. Decided to come based on the great reviews.
Firstly, the setting is lovely, with tight-packed plants creating a lovely little garden area. As it was lunchtime, we decided to focus first on food at the restaurant.
On the plus side, the shakshuka was very good (if quite spicy) and the coffee was nice. We were on the balcony overlooking the gardens, with blankets as required. The view was lovely. However, the experience was then severely impacted by the service. It took more than an hour to serve a pizza (which was good but not great) and one shakshuka, with no apologies or any wording from the waiting staff in the extensive waiting period, despite us having to check whether our food had in fact even been given to the kitchen. Other customers came and went whilst we waited. When the food came, it was without cutlery and, when asked for some, the waitress said she would get some then proceeded to slowly clear a large table elsewhere whilst our food went cold, meaning we had to ask again. Now all of this might have been frustrating but liveable, but our increasingly bored and frustrated baby isn’t as patient as we are, and after all that time of patiently waiting, he got more and more frustrated, making it difficult for us and the people close by. That isn’t the restaurant’s fault, but does show how long we waited, and I couldn’t blame him really. It took the best part of two hours for a one course lunch, meaning we had to skip the gardens and ended up with a rushed day overall as we struggled to get what we wanted done in the day, which was disappointing. We pretty much had to run around the large gardens of the nearby castle.
So if time is no issue and you want a nice view then by all means visit. But don’t be surprised about the wait. I hope this experience was just a one off bad day and it’s normally much better.

A spectacular nursery set in lovely scenery near Penrith. I've never seen so many huge pots, planters and statues and the selection of shrubs and trees was impressive and excellent quality. There was loads of autumn colour especially the Acers. The cafe was delightful, enjoyed petting Misty the cat. Had soup and one of the nicest cappuccinos ever. Visited for lunch and very good selection of daily specials.

Extensive selection of plants and trees that seemed to go on forever. Would benefit from some labelling of areas or map to help negotiate round and help find what you are looking for, especially if you are a inexperienced gardener. Disappointed to find that the gardens were only open Weds and Sundays. Returned on weds to see garden which was lovely.

I went here for a meal at casa verde and had a delicious meal I would highly recommend coz the food is so tasty.
I had the sweet potato and carrots soup for start. I was gutted when I got to the end as it was so nice. For main I had smoked salmon linguine in an asparagus cream sauce. DELICIOUS. And finished with an apricot and almond sponge that I’m sorry to say didn’t taste of anything. And after finishing that off we had a nice walk round larch cottage nurseries that has a vast variety of plants

The most beautiful and magical plant nursery. So much to see and explore. A wide variety of beautiful, healthy plants and so many garden ornaments, plant pots and sculptures. It is lovely to visit just to explore, for inspiration or to stock up your garden with wonders!

Food at the restaurant may seem expensive but is well worth the cost. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

We will definitely be returning with friends and family for another visit!

A fantastic independent nursery and well worth a visit if you're near by. It can get busy, so make sure to check how busy it is in Google Maps.
There is plenty of parking, but it is at the end of a dead end country road, so there may be a small queue.
There is a huge selection of plants, shrubs, trees roses ferns, grasses, Acer's and plenty more. Lots of garden ornaments too, so do make sure to stop in. The place keeps going and going and such a relaxing environment.
Also a good shop for interior design and art bits
